Doobu (#582-17)

Doobu is a 3 year old female in need of a foster or forever home.  Doobu is very outgoing, playful, loves toys, and responds to commands.  She has a larger than life personality and will want to be near her caregiver.  She walks ok on leash and is very chilled out at home when with her family. Doobu has excellent manners at dinner and when taking treats.  Doobu is in need of ACL corrective surgery so we would need her new family's cooperation in pre and post vet instructions, which may or may not include taking her to therapy temporally and limiting her movement until she heals I'm sure with the help of medication.

Update (7/10/17): Pending Adoption!!!  Doobu is recovering with one of our volunteers until the bone heals (est early September) and she can go to her forever home in North Carolina.  It was suggested by the Vet that the recovery and physical therapy be performed by someone that Doobu knows so she would feel more secure and have a smoother recovery.

Update (7/8/17): Doobu received her TTA surgery at VT Vet School and I tell you they did a fantastic job on our little girl. 

Update (3/16/17): Doobu is back with MACSPRO. She has a torn ACL that needs to be corrected so she can be pain free.

Update (3/10/17): Doobu went to her furever home today where she will definitely be spoiled by her new best friend Eli in Upper Marlboro, MD.

Update (3/2/17): We think Sori will be better off adopted separately. Doobu picks on her, takes her toys away and pushes her out of the way when she wants, just like an older sister. Sori seems to lack self-confidence because of this behavior.   Both girls are starving for attention and love, and we feel she would thrive on her own.

Update (3/2/17): Doobu has had entropian surgery and it went well, she can see much better now. Doobu is now in need of a new foster home as she is now in the boarding kennel, and she can be adopted separately from Sori. 

Update (1/25/17): Doobu & Sori are in a foster home in Columbia, but are still looking for their forever home where they can be together.
